Synopsis: Mr. Mallow Blue

When Shizuki Aoi started high school, he had high hopes of finding a lifelong friend in Kanata Takemiya, his fellow first-year student. However, their friendship turned out to be disastrous - Aoi quit school at the age of 16 and left home at 20. Currently, he lives alone in a tiny Tokyo apartment, barely venturing out due to his struggles with depression and heartbreak. Meanwhile, in the Kanagawa prefecture, Tsumugi Sakura's striking violet hair and moody demeanor make her stand out from her classmates. She is the target of constant bullying, and only the charming Subaru Minazuki comes to her aid - although she hardly appreciates his intervention. Unbeknownst to Sakura, Minazuki has his own reasons for singling her out. Both Aoi and Sakura are desperate to change their lives and believe they would be better off in someone else's shoes. However, when a miracle occurs and they swap lives, they quickly realize that their situations are not so different after all. Like tea brewed from blue mallow flowers that change color but retain their taste, they find that the things that truly matter have remained the same.
