Synopsis: HEAT

Tatsumi Karasawa is the protagonist of the award-winning manga "Heat." It chronicles his rapid ascent in Shinjuku, Tokyo's criminal hierarchy. Equipped with a fearless amateur gang, he wages wars against both law enforcement and rival criminal organizations. However, his success attracts the attention of a police chief and a yakuza boss, who join forces to take him down. In recognition of its merits, the manga received the General Youth Division Prize at the 47th Shogakukan Manga Awards in 2001.
